Heart burn, GERD, burping, and hiccuping are all signs of low stomach acid. Increasing stomach acid is actually the best way to alleviate acid reflux. Here are some easy ways to stop acid reflux:

Add 1 T of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar to a glass of water and drink a few minutes prior to eating. This will increase the acid in the stomach and assist digestion.
Take Betaine HCl. Pop 1-3 tablets of Betaine HCl a few minutes prior to your meal. I prefer the Standard Process brand. I have found that many of the Betaine HCl products found in health food stores do not seem to work as well as the therapeutic lines like Standard Process, Thorne and Biotics.
Take a digestive enzyme. This will also assist the body to break food down effectively and help food move smoothly north to south. Some formulations I like are: Standard Process Enzycore and Multizyme. I also like Biotics Intensyme Forte and Bromlain CLA.
